Chad E. Adams grew up learning how to farm from his paternal great grandfather’s innate ability to farm according to the moon phases and learned traditional farming techniques from his maternal grandfather.
A proud graduate from South Carolina State University with a major in Agribusiness, Chad set a significant goal for himself: to create and grow his own Agribusiness. By merging his academic foundation with his entrepreneurial spirit, this early exposure to farming planted a seed and thirst for knowledge that pushed him to pursue more extensive information about farming techniques.
Chad received a certification in Urban Agriculture from HABESHA, Inc., in 2017. This extensive research, and the years of hands-on work, have provided the foundation for Earlie Bird Farms, LLC. Chad has become committed fully to operating his independent farm, Earlie Bird Farms, LLC, which he founded in 2011.
THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychoactive compound in cannabis that produces a "high," found in high concentrations in marijuana plants. In contrast, hemp, a variety of Cannabis sativa, contains minimal THC (0.3% or less) and lacks psychoactive effects. Hemp offers numerous benefits: it's nutritionally rich with protein and essential fats, environmentally sustainable, versatile for making textiles, paper, biodegradable plastics, and more. Additionally, hemp oil has anti-inflammatory properties used in health and skincare products. The hemp industry also holds significant economic potential by creating jobs and boosting agricultural economies.
